QKD Falqon Series
Q*Bird delivers advanced equipment for building scalable quantum networks, that allows users togenerate and exchange quantum keys securely. Because of the fundamental principles of quantum physics, Q*Bird systems ensure that any attempt to intercept or eavesdrop on the keys, whether by conventional methods or even a quantum computer, will be immediately detected. This keeps your
data fully protected, both today and in the quantum-powered future.
The Falqon series consists of three main elements: user nodes, quantum optical switches, and central hubs. Many user nodes can be connected to one central hub. Each pair of nodes connected to the same hub can generate QKD keys, which remain secret from all other devices in the network. Each user node (MQT4000s) is directly connected to the central hub via a pair of optical fibers and can generate quantum keys with any other user node in the network.
Quantum optical switches (MQS4000s) can be placed around a network to form the optical fabric and transport qubits to their destination. Center hubs (MQX4000s) are present only to establish quantum connectivity between the user nodes, forming a multipoint-to-multipoint network between many user nodes and devices.
Secret QKD keys are never present in the central hub. The central hub never has access to any sensitive data. This is made possible by the next-generation quantum protocols in Q*Bird devices.
